Rules

  1. Any person who is under 18 years, or who has been excluded, or is self-excluded, or falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in the Derby Dash promotional competition (“Promotional Competition”).
  2. This Promotional Competition is exclusive to Sun MVG members and is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or its marketing service providers, as well as their spouses, life partners, business partners, or immediate family members. In addition, all persons who are precluded from participating in gambling activities as determined in the Sun International Employees, Suppliers, Service Providers and Concessionaires Gambling Policy may not participate in this Promotional Competition.
  3. Participants earn points to qualify for entry tickets during the promotional period, which commences on 01 September and terminates on 01 November 2026, by playing Slots or Tables while using their Sun MVG cards in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Sun MVG programme. These dates commence and terminate in line with the gaming day of the casino.
  4. Earn at least three points on the day of the race to bet on a car race. A prize pool of R30,000 in XtraPlay is up for grabs. If the customer wins, the XtraPlay prize will be loaded directly onto their MVG card.
  5. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points, or through any other form of consideration. The number of valid entries per Promotional Competition is unlimited.
  6. Where applicable, images of prizes used in advertisements or displays may not necessarily represent the actual prizes, models, or specifications awarded. Relevant information may be obtained from the casino.
  7. The respective draw dates, times, and points-earning criteria required to qualify for entry tickets will be communicated through the advertising channels used for this Promotional Competition.
  8. Participants must activate their entry into the virtual race on the day by playing Slots or Tables within the specified entry period. Opening and closing times will be communicated through the casino's promotional channels.
  9. If the Promotional Competition provides winners with the opportunity to risk their prize for a higher-value prize or an alternative prize, the winner will not be compensated should they lose the original prize. In such cases, the forfeited prize will be returned to the prize pool.
  10. By participating, participants consent to their personal information, including but not limited to their name, surname, and/or Sun MVG number, being announced or displayed by the casino.
  11. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must present a valid government-issued identification document when signing for receipt of their prize.
  12. All decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained.
  13. Any person who contravenes the rules of this Promotional Competition will be disqualified.
  14. In the event of technical failure, malfunction, or damage to the device used during the Promotional Competition for selecting prizes and winners, regardless of the cause, Management may use an alternative device or method at its sole discretion.
  15. Every participant or proxy in the Promotional Competition is deemed to have acknowledged and accepted these rules by virtue of their participation.
  16. If Management makes any exception to or deviation from these rules, it does not constitute a waiver of any rights, including the right to enforce these rules in future or in similar circumstances.
  17. The above clauses are severable. Should any clause or part thereof be deemed unenforceable by law, that clause or portion will be severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect to the extent permitted by law.
  18. These rules constitute the official rules of the Promotional Competition and supersede any previous version. Copies of these rules are available from the Sun MVG Desk upon request and at suninternational.com.
  19. Management reserves the right to terminate the Promotional Competition without prior notice and without compensation, or to enhance prizes, increase the number of prizes, or vary other aspects of the Promotional Competition where such changes benefit participants, excluding earning criteria.
  20. Any disputes of a gambling nature may be referred to the ECGB.
