The Sun City School of Gaming is pleased to be able to offer free lessons in the skills and etiquette of all our Casino Table Games. Lessons must be booked a minimum of 48 hours in advance through the Casino MVG desk. Groups over 10 people are by special arrangement with the Casino Management and must be booked one week in advance.
There are special 'Casino Fun Evening' packages available for conference groups, which may be booked through the conference organiser and take place Monday to Thursday by prior arrangement.

The first step is to join Sun International's prestigious "Most Valued Guest" gaming program. You can do this by asking any of our guest relations staff for an application for an M.V.G. card. Once the relevant details have been provided you will be issued with your very own, personalised membership card to the Sun International gaming fraternity. Please present this card to the croupier whenever you sit down at one of the gaming tables. Your play will be monitored and once it reaches a certain criteria may entitle you to, complimentary drinks, meals and generous discounts on accommodation.

Bureau De Change
A passport will be required for ALL Foreign Exchange transactions. Travellers cheques' are accepted. The relevant agencies are contacted in order to obtain authorisation codes prior to encashment of Travellers' cheques. South Africans wanting to exchange forex (for casino only) need to be in possession of a valid work permit or Visa.

A Maximum of 2000 US Dollars equivalent may be exchanged for cash per day and is non-redeemable, consisting of the following currencies ONLY:

For Gaming
All the major foreign currencies can be exchanged for chips. If casino winnings are to be paid out in the currency exchanged, an air ticket needs to be produced prior to the transaction otherwise a winners certificate cannot be issued.

All major Credit cards are accepted provided positive identification can be furnished, i.e. passport or South African ID Document. Please note that American Express only permit us to accept LOCAL cards beginning with the serial number 3768 or 3770. We do not have floor limits, as all transactions are pre-authorised.
Only FOREIGNERS may get cash on their credit cards, exchanged at 10% commission.
Travellers Cheques' and Bank Guaranteed Cheques
Traveller's' Cheques are accepted. The banks restrict the number of Guaranteed Cheques that we are permitted to accept each day and you are asked to contact the cashier on extensions 1134 or 1135 for details regarding the type of cheque you may be using. Positive identification is required with all Cheque Transactions. Daily limits on bank guaranteed cheques vary from bank to bank. Please consult with the cashier, who can provide information on restrictions.
Cheque Cashing Facility
Casual cheques are accepted from South African residents only, for a maximum of R500 provided positive identification can be furnished and subject to a clearance period. Facility holders need to furnish us with a signed blank cheque prior to the issuance of any markers.
