Rules

  1. Mystery
    1. Qualifying Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members who have earned 5 or more casino points between 1 January 2022 and 15 February 2022 and who are actively playing slots or tables during the time period are eligible;
    2. The total prize value is R450 000 in Xtra Play over the promotional period;
    3. Fourteen (14) winners will be randomly selected via Tiered Power Winner Mysteries;
    4. Six (6) Gold MVG members (Gold status), randomly selected via the Power Winner Mystery, will each receive R15 000 in Xtra Play;
    5. Four (4) Platinum MVG members (Platinum status), randomly selected via Power Winner Mysteries, will each receive R40 000 in Xtra Play;
    6. Four (4) Diamond MVG members (Diamond status), randomly selected via Power Winner Mysteries, will each receive R50 000 in Xtra Play;
    7. Tables prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes;
    8. Slots prize winners will have their prizes downloaded directly onto their cards;
  2. Draws
    1. Participants for this promotion are exclusively selected Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members who have earned a minimum of five (5) casino points between 1 January 2022 and 15 February 2022;
    2. Qualifying Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members will receive an individual casino points target to achieve over the promotional period;
    3. Individual targets are calculated at 10% more points earned from 14 March 2022 to 3 May 2022 than was earned during the period 1 January 2022 to 15 February 2022;
    4. If the individual points target is not met during the promotional period, the member will not qualify for entry into the draws;
    5. Qualifying Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members must earn their individual required casino points target from 06h45 on Monday, 14 March 2022 to 06h45 on Wednesday, 4 May 2022 to be eligible for the draws;
    6. Qualifying Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members will be able to view their individual casino points target and progression towards achieving their target at the MVG Reward Centre terminal and Salon Privé terminal;
    7. Qualification for the draws, as well as eligibility for any of these prizes will be based upon the MVG casino points earned on slots or tables between the promotional period starting at 06h45 on Monday, 14 March 2022 to 06h45 on Wednesday, 4 May 2022;
    8. Bonus points do not count towards the casino points earned during the promotional period;
    9. Qualification criteria for the draws are indicated as follows: 

      Three Tiers Draw

      • Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members who have earned five (5) or more casino points between 1 January 2022 and 15 February 2022 and who have attained their individual points target over the promotional period will receive one (1) ticket entry into the draw
      • Diamond, Platinum and Gold MVG members who have earned five (5) or more casino points between 1 January 2022 and 15 February 2022 and who have attained their individual points target over the promotional period.
      • Gold Draw: Gold MVG members who have attained their individual points target will earn tickets based on the ratio of one (1) ticket for every two casino points earned over the promotional period.
      • Platinum Draw: Platinum MVG members who have attained their individual points target will earn tickets based on the ratio of one (1) ticket for every two casino points earned over the promotional period.
      • Diamond Draw: Diamond MVG members who have attained their individual points target will earn tickets based on the ratio of one (1) ticket for every two casino points earned over the promotional period.
    10. Participants are limited to a maximum of 50 ticket entries into the draws on 21 and 22 May 2022;

    11. The total prize value for the draws is R900 000;

    12. The total prize money for the Three Tiers Draw on 15 May 2022 is R270 000 in cash consisting of R20 000, R25 000, R25 000, R50 000, R50 000 and R100 000 respectively;

      • Six (6) prize winners will be selected by way of random selection through Promo Exec;

    13. The total prize money for the tiered draws on 21 May 2022 are as indicated below:

      • Platinum Draw - R195 000 in prizes consisting of R20 000, R40 000 and a R135 000 travel voucher;
      • Diamond Draw - R300 000 in prizes consisting of R25 000, R50 000 and a R225 000 travel voucher;
      • Six (6) prize winners will be selected by way of random selection through Promo Exec;

    14. The total prize money for the tiered draws on 22 May 2022 are as indicated

        below:

      • Gold Draw - R135 000 in prizes consisting of R15 000, R30 000 and a R90 000 travel voucher;
      • Three (3) prize winners will be selected by way of random selection through Promo Exec;

    15. Tickets will not be accumulated or carried forward to a subsequent draw and will only be valid for each respective draw;

    16. Draw announcements will be made on the casino floor and winners will be informed of prize collection location;

    17. Prize winners will be given 180 seconds (three minutes) to present themselves and must be in possession of their MVG loyalty card and a valid picture identification (Passport, SA Bar-coded Identity Book or Card, SA Driver’s License);
    18. Should the prize winner not present themselves within 180 seconds (three minutes), a redraw will take place;
    19. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes;
  1. Travel vouchers have a three (3) year validity period and must be redeemed via the travel agent and is subject to the terms and conditions as set out by the travel agent;e

  3. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration;
  4. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised;
  5. In the event of a technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotion, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method may be used, at the sole discretion of Management and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board will be informed of such changes;
  6. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into;
  7. Participants do, however, have the option to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in the event of a dispute;
  8. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified;
  9. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation;
  10. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
