No persons under the age of 18 may participate in this tournament. Any person who has been refused entry to the casino or who is self-excluded, prior to or during the tournament, may not participate and will be disqualified.
Entry to the tournament is by way of a cash buy-in of R50 at the casino cash desk which entitles the player to one seat in one of that day’s qualifying heats.
Players may enter another heat by making cash re-buys of R50.
No points redemption for entry is allowed
A minimum number of three players will constitute a valid heat.
Registration for participation shall be in person and in accordance with advertised dates and times, all of which will be advertised through the casino’s marketing mediums.
Late entries shall not be accepted.
Players’ credits cannot be pooled with or transferred to other players’ credits.
Credits earned during each heat will be ranked to determine the top credit earners. Players may enter as many heats as they wish.
Registration will be on a “first come first serve” basis and machines will be allocated from number one onwards.
One finalist will be selected from the top 10 credit earners from each tournament day
A player/contestant will be limited to 1 seat per heat
Should any player have more than 1 seat in the Finals, they may nominate a “proxy” to play on their behalf.
Finals will be held on Saturday 30 September 2023 at 14h30
Slots machines will be operated in tournament mode hence any winning combinations struck will not be paid out as casino winnings despite the fact that corresponding winning combinations may be displayed at such machines. If operated in standard mode during a tournament, no winning combinations will be paid out.
In the event of a tie, there will be a play-off between the tied contestants as an additional heat.
In the event of a malfunction of a slot machine, the affected players will be given the first available seat in a future similar heat if possible. A refund will be made if a player cannot be accommodated in a future heat under these circumstances. In the case of a tournament software malfunction, the entire heat will be restarted. In the case of a tournament software malfunction, or a machine malfunction in the last heat, semi-final, or final, the respective last heat, semi-final or final will be restarted entirely.
Players who are not present before the actual start of the heat will forfeit their seats, and no re-funds will be made.
Should the tournament system have a complete malfunction, the tournament will be postponed until the system issues can be resolved and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board will be informed.
Only under the most extreme circumstances will the Casino allow a player to be substituted and adequate proof will need to be timeously provided. (e.g. player hospitalized)
Anyone who is self-excluded or banned is automatically excluded from participation and has no claim to any rewards or prizes.
All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; Participants does however have the right to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing board in the event of a dispute.
Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified.
Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
