Making a difference
The Dischem Sun City Swim is a celebration of the great outdoors and heart-pumping vitality. However, the organisers of the event are well-aware of the sad reality that many children cannot experience the joy of swimming due to severe illness or disability. In response, since 2008 the Dischem Sun City Swim has donated a generous portion of the entry fee to the following beneficiaries:
The Little Eden Society which lovingly provides lifelong care to children with profound intellectual disabilities.
The Kidney Beanz Trust which supports children with acute kidney disease who attend the Morningside Children's Kidney Treatment Centre. In addition, the Gauteng Lifesaving and Water Safety Association and the Gauteng Masters Swimming Clubs also benefit from funds raised from the Dischem Sun City Swim.
Did you know? Once again the Dischem Foundation has generously agreed to match the swimmers' voluntary donations rand for rand. Make a weekend out of it, stay at Sun City.
The stunning accommodation at Sun City is reason alone to visit this magnificent resort. Not to mention the exciting and adventurous Sun City activities and experiences.
