Coffee at its Finest on the Wild Coast
In 1652, South Africa first dipped a teaspoon into the global coffee market when the Dutch East India Co. set up shop in Cape Town, with one of its priorities being a re-supply depot on the coffee route back to Amsterdam.
But South Africa’s coffee production has since moved inland, mainly to Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
And no trip to the Wild Coast Sun would be complete without a visit to the Beaver Creek Coffee Estate.
Located in Port Edward, which is a short drive from the Wild Coast Sun, Beaver Creek is billed as the world’s most Southern coffee estate.
Their story began with only four trees in 1984 to over 60 000 today. And it’s a family business that takes pride in producing 100% locally grown, harvested and roasted Arabica coffee.
So make sure you get your fix on your next trip.
