A selfless achiever with an ever-positive outlook in an extremely competitive environment, Julius Ramotse says he is extremely excited to take on the position of Sun City's General Manager of Hospitality. It's exactly where he hoped to be at this point in time.

Julius has worked for Sun International for "13 wonderful years". Over 20 years in the hospitality industry overall, he's worked as a trolley bar attendant, griller, cook, catering manager, food and beverage manager, operations manager, and hotel manager. This experience is complemented by his law degree, and various management, marketing, and coaching qualifications.

Julius has a great vision for the next 5 years: helping Sun City become one of the best workplaces, while maintaining its reputation as one of the most exciting holiday destinations.

He plans to bring this to life by "believing in our people and pushing them to be the best in whatever they do, celebrating our good performers, insisting on quality and excellence, encouraging managers to lead by example, and driving accountability without compromising our standards".

"People are at the core of excellent service and customer experience," he adds.

When not driving Sun International forward, Julius indulges his passion for reading, cooking, watching football, spending time with his family, and golf. He makes special mention of the fact that without the support of his family, he would not be where he is today. "My wife is the pillar of strength and all my successes, including my qualification, are as a result of her support and encouragement. She has a doctorate in support and understanding!"

Julius loves dealing with both colleagues and guests. "Warmth and friendliness is what drew me to the hospitality industry in the first place," he explains. "It is the diversity of the people I get to interact with every day that makes this industry so exciting."
