Book ticketsIf you’re on the prowl for cool events happening in Durban this weekend, Sibaya is taking you back to the era of big perms, twirly skirts, shoulder pads, mullets, and roller skates.
That 80’s Show, now on at the Rockwood Theatre at Sibaya, will take you back in time to when synthesisers knocked your neon socks off, and Sting still rocked your world. Come to the best live music venue in Durban and be transported back to the eighties with musical tributes to the likes of the Police, Duran Duran, Rick Springfield, Blondie, Madonna, Bananarama, The Bangles, Yazoo, INXS, Phil Collins and Michael Jackson to name but a few.
“Fans of 80’s music are absolutely going to love this show with all the anthems, all the great music and the nostalgia of times gone by but never ever forgotten,” says Janet Pillay, Public Relations Manager of Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom. “It is going to be a spectacular show.”
We’re proudly bringing this concert to Durban so fans can relive the greatest hits of the eighties and recall unique memories from the decade: from Pacman to MTV and VH1 (video did kill the radio star) to paying fines for returning VHS tapes to the video store without being so kind as to rewind.
We promise that you won’t be able to stay seated and will find yourself dancing in the aisles to the upbeat tunes and swooning to the ballads as all the memories and lyrics send shivers down your spine!
