KZN Bollywood Idol was founded in 2023 by Risa Raeanne Moodley, professionally known as Risa Raeanne.
Risa Raeanne Moodley is a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, musician, public performer and music tutor. She has been performing publicly since she was 5 years old and has recorded 8 albums and 4 original songs. She graduated from UKZN with her Bachelor of Arts in Music and her PGCE from Stadio to be a Music and English school teacher. Aside from this, Risa also studied North Indian Classical Music from Drisha Music Academy and currently teaches
Indian Classical Vocals to children weekly. Risa also represented her country in the United
States as an ambassador for the International Presentation of Performers (iPOP).
