Don Vino Prins tells his story with saxyvibes
The Roxy Revue Bar, GrandWest, renowned for delivering authentic local entertainment, welcomes Cape Town based saxophonist, Don Vino Prins to its stage in October 2017. The well known musician will present Don Vino’s #saxyvibes, through which he tells of his personal journey as a saxophonist, from 23 to 28 October 2017.
Prins’s passion for the saxophone was ignited at the tender age of 15. He has since performed with renowned local and international artists and has entrenched himself in the South African performing arts industry as collaborator, philanthropist, businessman and solo artist. In recent months, he has performed several sold out shows and released his single “Worried”. Keen to engage more intimately with his loyal fans, he has created Don Vino’s #saxyvibes which is rooted in his personal story. As Prins does not restrict himself to a specific genre of music, the repertoire includes a diversity of genres from Jazz and Gospel to R&B to Afrikaans. The production also profiles students he has taught in the brass section and features the powerful vocals of Elwira Standili.
“Don Vino’s #saxyvibes is trendy, current and offers fans an opportunity for an up close and personal encounter with one of Cape Town’s talented musicians,” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest.
Don Vino’s #saxyvibes, a two hour show, will be staged at 19h00 between 23 and 28 October 2017. Tickets cost R150 at Computicket.
