Lianie May is an Afrikaans singer and her music sounds very similar to Shania Twain and Dolly Parton. Lianie was born in Vereeniging on August 2, 1976, and grew up in Oranjeville. She matriculated in 1994 at the Dutch High School Sasolburg. After an action by Eden in Oranjeville, Lianie had an audition in a dressing room. Johan Vorster and Sean Else approached her to join Mozi records in 2006, after which she released her debut CD in 2007. From there, Lianie's hard work, determination and humble personality let her go from strength to strength, and today she is one of the country's top female artists.
