Promotion Details

  • A total of 7-21 guests to take part in the Black Jack tournament
  • An entry fee of R1 000 will be required this will entitle the player to play 3 heats on the Saturday.
  • In the event that there are not at least 7 interested players, guests that have already paid their buy-in will be refunded. 
  • Guests will be allowed to have multiple entries to a maximum of 3 entries per person, to a maximum of 21 buy-ins for the tournament 
  • Each player starts off with R5000 worth of competition chips.
  • The table will be a R100 denom i.e. min R100 maximum R500
  • Seating for the heats will be done by random selection 
  • A total of 14 hands will be dealt per heat with each player having a chance to be dealt to first 
  • After every hand all winning bets to be removed and the new round of betting will commence
  • At the end of each heat a chip count will be done and recorded 
  • A total of 7 players will play in the final.
  • The scores of the 3 heats that each guest plays will be added and the 6 top guests with the highest overall combined chip count from the Saturday will go through to the final on the Sunday.
  • The 7th player playing in final will be made up by a lucky wild card winner, this will be decided as follows: all the participants who did not make it to the finals will place their MVG cards in a hat, and then cards will be drawn to make up the 7th finalist. 
  • The final will consist of just one heat.
  • The player with the highest chip count in the final will be declared the winner. The Player with the second highest chip count will win the second prize and the player with the 3rd highest chip count will win the 3rd prize.
  • Seating for the final will be done by random 
  • In the event of a tie, a play-off will take place.  Each guest will be dealt two hands with the dealer, no surrenders, no even money and no double up will be offered. Both participants will receive R2500 in tables chips. Two hands will be dealt and at the end the winner (with the most chips remaining) will go through. In the event of a tie after two hands we will go into sudden death until a clear winner is found

Rules

  • Players must  place a minimum bet every hand
  • No surrenders
  • No even money and no double up
  • Normal Black Jack rules and table maximums apply.
  • No perfect pair bets will be permitted.
  • Players can only play one box per player.
  • No partner play is permitted.
  • No coaching is permitted.
  • No lending of chips between players.
  • Chips to remain on the table at all times
  • In the event of a dispute management’s decision will be final
  • No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion.
  • Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who fall into category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion.
  • This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  • Prize winners will be selected by way of random draw. Draw times and dates, and points criteria to earn tickets, will be advertised through advertising mediums used for this promotion.
  • In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
  • Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes.
  • All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; Participants does however have the right to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing board in the event of a dispute.
  • Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified.
  • Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  • The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
