Virgil Prins, known professionally as Prins, is a seasoned stand-up comedian and entertainment professional with over a decade of experience captivating audiences both nationally and internationally. Hailing from the Eastern Cape, Prins has established himself in the vibrant Johannesburg entertainment scene and beyond with his unique brand of wit. His comedic talent has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Savanna Comics Choice Comedy Award, one of the industry's highest honors. Prins holds a BCom Degree in Law and Management, showcasing his academic prowess and diverse interests. His professional journey spans various sectors, from education to insurance and entertainment. Before launching his comedy career, he was a primary school teacher in East London, where he honed his skills in communication and engagement.

He later made his mark in the insurance industry, contributing his expertise to renowned companies like Santam Insurance and Platinum Life Insurance. As an entrepreneur, Prins was the director of Comedy View (Pty) Ltd, an events and entertainment company that rose to prominence under his leadership. Through Comedy View, he orchestrated successful shows and events, solidifying his influence in the entertainment landscape.

Currently self-employed, Prins immerses himself in his passion as a performing artist while continuing to grow as an entrepreneur.
