Branden Grace became the first South African winner of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, hosted by Gary Player, in a decade when he won the 2017 showpiece by a single stroke.
The South African made more history in 2017 when he shot the lowest round in men’s Major Championship history – a 62 in the third round of the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
His breakthrough season came in 2012 when Grace won five times around the world, with four of those wins coming on the European Tour.
Grace’s historic season saw him become the first player in European Tour history to win his first four tournaments in the same year.

Sun International supports the South African Government’s approach to contain the COVID-19 virus through the phased reopening of businesses. All of our South African hotel and casino properties will remain closed until we receive permission from Government to reopen. Given the uncertain nature of the virus, we are unable to say when this will happen.
We appeal to all South Africans to heed the President’s call and abide by the rules of the different lock down levels.
