The 2025 MNS Attorneys Carnival City Marathon will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 06h00 at the Carnival City Sports Grounds in Brakpan, Gauteng.

Terms & Conditions

  1. This race is held under the rules of ASA and CGA. By entering the race each athlete accepts the responsibility to know and abide by these rules.
  2. International athletes must provide a clearance letter from their country of origin to the referee in the event of them winning the prize.
  3. Athletes indemnify the national, provincial and regional bodies, sponsors and organisers of the race against any or all actions of whatsoever nature, whatever the same may arise out of their participation in the race.

  1. All athletes participate at their own risk. Athletes acknowledge by entering the event that they are medically fit to participate. All athletes must supply the name and contact number of their next of kin on both the race number and entry form.
  2. Licensed athletes must wear their 2025 ASA license number on their Club race shirt / vest with the top branded section visible both front and back. Licensed athletes who do not wear their 2025 license numbers must purchase a temporary license on the day or face disqualification.
  3. Temporary licences must be worn on the back of plain clothing and not Club Kit and the striders number on the front.
  4. The 2025 Temporary License fee for 10km is R60.00, 21km is R70.00, and 42km is R200.00.
  5. No 2-, 3-, or 4-wheel carts/prams which are mechanically or manually operated by participants, or wheelchairs athletes will be permitted to participate without special permission has been granted from the race organiser. All such participants MUST start at the back of the field.
  6. No animals/pets are allowed to participate.
  7. Strictly no substitutions.
  8. No refunds.
  9. All instructions from traffic, race and technical officials must be always obeyed.
  10. No earphones, Pods and the like allowed.
  11. Athletes may not run with another athlete's race number unless by prior arrangement with the race organiser.
  12. The race organiser retains the right to refuse entry and eject persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who are disorderly, or engage in inappropriate behaviour, vandalism or evade paying for admission.
  13. Athletes who participate without buying a race entry will be disqualified, will not be entitled to any benefits associated with the race and will be liable for a double entry fee charge.
  14. Littering is not allowed. Athletes are to dispose of any litter in appropriate bins. Athletes can be disqualified if they litter.
  15. Minimum age: 5km =4 years, must be accompanied by an adult; 10km =16 years, 21km = 19 years and 42km = 19 years.
  16. Proof of age for prize winners is required and must be presented to the referees before prize giving.
