We have a total of 173 en-suite guestrooms offering splendid accommodation in 17 riverbank residences. Ours is a hotel that exudes Victorian elegance and splendour down to the finest detail of the lamps, the magnificent paintings and the black and white photographs of early pioneers, this is a place to reflect and rejuvenate. Our luxurious Presidential Suite has housed royalty, heads of state and celebrities, but each room is sure to inspire a similar feeling of prestige in all of our guests.
Our rooms are inspired by a combination of Victorian elegance infused with Africa’s tribal warmth. Each room has its own private terrace overlooking the Zambezi River. All rooms are luxuriously furnished with crisp white linen and large comfortable beds to offer the perfect sanctuary after a day spent exploring Livingstone.
Royal Livingstone Hotel’s Multi-Million Dollar Refurbishment
Known far and wide as one of Southern Africa’s most internationally-acclaimed resorts, The Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia underwent a multi-million dollar upgrade in December 2012. World-renowned interior designer Paul Duesing (who was responsible for the Hotel’s original décor) oversaw the refurbishment; which was undertaken with the proviso of not diluting the original design intent.
Some of the enhancements include: better reading lights in the rooms, Wi-Fi access in all rooms, a greater feeling of space, comfort and luxury in the rooms, and a change to Molton Brown amenities to offer our guests a more contemporary feel.
