PRICES
- All prices quoted telephonically or in advertising and in brochure inserts or price guides are subject to change without notice and Sun International Dreams reserves the right to amend prices.
- Sun International Dreams cannot be held liable for prices quoted in error i.e. all prices quoted on an error and omissions basis.
- Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations and airfare increases.
- The onus is on the passenger/his agent to check that there have been no changes in price prior to making final payment. Until Sun International Dreams has received full payment, we reserve the right to charge any variations to the passenger’s account.
- Sun International Dreams guarantees the quoted package price, once full payment is received.
- Airfares are subject to the prices and conditions quoted by the airlines and cannot be guaranteed by Sun International Dreams.
- In the case of Zambia, the Park entrance fee to the Victoria falls is included for the entire stay and unlimited access is allowed.
Normal quoted prices include:
- Return airfare
- Return airport transfers
- Hotel accommodation and breakfast
- Service charge and room levy.
If a special package or promotional rate is quoted the inclusions will always be listed with the offer.
The following are not included in the quoted package price:
- Airport taxes
- Government departure taxes in country of origin and destination
- All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, laundry, non- specified meals.
RESERVATIONS
- All reservations are given 2 option dates; namely a deposit option date and a final payment option date. These are dates by which the respective payment must be received in order to avoid the booking been released.
- Reservations, are confirmed on the condition that a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total package price is paid to Sun International Dreams within 72 hours of confirmation or before the option date has expired.
- All outstanding amounts owing must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to departure or before the option date has expired.
- Sun International Dreams reserves the right to cancel any reservation in respect of payments not received timeously. In such a case the deposit will be forfeited. Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to departure are subject to full and final payment within 72 hours of confirmation and subject to cancellation if not paid by the time the option period expires
- If a late reservation is made (less than 5 working days prior to departure), Sun International Dreams will be entitled to levy a late booking fee to cover any extra communication expenses. Full payment is due immediately on confirmation and is non-refundable on all late bookings.
- In the case of late bookings Sun International Dreams will ask for a guarantee of payment prior to making the reservation and passengers will be liable for a 100% cancellation fees should they decide not to travel.
PAYMENT
- Payment is required by bank guaranteed cheque, company cheque (with the prior approval of Sun International Dreams management), electronic transfers directly into tour operator’s account and by credit card. Cash is not accepted as a form of payment
- In the case of credit card payments we cannot complete the transaction until we have all the necessary, documentation on file. (See credit card policy).
CANCELLATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
- All bookings cancelled within 8 weeks prior to departure are subject to the following cancellation fee:
6 – 8 weeks: 25%
4 – 6 weeks: 30%
3 – 4 weeks: 50%
2 – 3 weeks: 80%
2 weeks and less: 100%
- Amendments made to bookings within the cancellation period will attract the same fees as the above cancellation policy.
Amendments after documents are issued, regardless of how far in advance, are subject to a charge of 25% of the value of the booking.
- Sun International Dreams reserves the right to cancel all bookings in which case a full refund will be made in full and final settlement of the matter.
ITINERARY ALTERNATIONS - UNSCHEDULED EXTENSIONS/DELAYS
- Sun International Dreams reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure in which case the entire tour price paid by the passenger will be refunded without any further liability on the part of Sun International Dreams.
- Once a hotel reservation has been confirmed we reserve the right to substitute the hotel with a similar hotel.
- In the unlikely event of there being an unscheduled extension to the holiday itineraries, after departure, due to circumstances such as flight delays, bad weather, schedule changes strikes or anything else beyond the control of Sun International Dreams it is agreed that extra expenses incurred will be for the account of the passenger. Sun International Dreams is not liable for consequential damages.
REFUNDS AND UNUSED SERVICES
- No refunds will be made for no shows or any unused services. Unless the appropriate medical certificate can be produced.
RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY
- Sun International Dreams act as an agent only for local and international ground operators and airlines and accordingly accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury (fatal or otherwise), accident, delay or any other irregularity howsoever arising.
- Sun International Dreams makes every effort to ensure that all the arrangements and services connected with a passengers itinerary will be carried out as specified and / or in the most efficient and effective way possible. However, we do not have direct control over the provision of services by the suppliers and, whilst they are in all cases selected with the utmost care, we do not accept liability for error and omissions of such suppliers.
INSURANCE
- Passengers undertake all activities associated with their itinerary at their own risk and are responsible for their own insurance in respect of themselves and their property. We advise passengers to take out the relevant insurance. Sun International Dreams shall not be liable if a passenger should fail to take adequate insurance cover.
- Sun International Dreams offer insurance and strongly recommend you to take out a policy.
DOCUMENTATION
- Passports, visas, vaccinations, inoculations and re-entry permits. The responsibility to obtain correct and valid passports, visas, vaccinations and inoculations and re entry permits where required, is that of the passenger alone. Sun International Dreams will not be held responsible or liable for any consequences of any nature arising from the passenger failing to ensure that he/she has complied with all such requirements.
- Sun International Dreams issue documents 30 days prior to departure to avoid amendments as a result of schedule changes.
JURISDICTION OF THE MAGISTRATE’S COURT
- Sun International Dreams shall be entitled, at its option to institute any legal proceedings arising out of or in connection with this agreement in any Magistrate’s Court having jurisdiction in terms of Section 29 of the Magistrate’s Court Act No 32 of 1944 as amended, notwithstanding that the amount in issue may exceed the limits of such jurisdiction. This agreement shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
GENERAL
- This document together with Sun International Dreams standard booking form, invoice and itinerary constitutes the sole record of the arrangement between the parties. No party shall be bound by any representation, warranty and promise of the like not recorded herein. No addition to, Sun International Dreams standard booking form conditions shall be of any force or effect unless in writing and signed by both parties hereto.
- The parties hereby choose as their domicilium citandi et executandi for all notices and processes to be given and served in pursuance of this agreement at their respective addresses as given on Sun International Dreams booking form. Either party may change its domicilium by written notice delivered by hand or sent by prepaid registered post to the other party. In this agreement an expression which denotes a gender includes the other gender, a natural person includes an artificial person and vice versa and the singular includes the plural and vice versa.
