Wake up to the adventure you've been dreaming about. The Sun International Falls Resort exudes a real African flavour! Like all Sun International resorts, you can look forward to swimming pools, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, the Kamp Kwena Kiddies Centre, a beauty centre, shops, dinner-dances and 114 exclusive private acres along the Zambezi River to relax, unwind and soak up the magic and natural beauty of Africa!
The Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This mighty waterfall forms a spectacular backdrop to the Sun International resort along the Zambian banks of the great Zambezi River. Special attention has been given to re-cultivating many different species of indigenous plants to recreate a totally natural environment, so that the 2 hotels on the resort blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
The resort consists of 2 luxury hotels and The Falls Entertainment and Convention Centre - all situated on a 46-hectare (114 acres) private site of unspoiled African bushveld, inside the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Wildlife Park. It is a place that is both a sanctuary and a world of activity, with superb facilities for every type of visitor. The close proximity to the Victoria Falls makes this resort unique, as guests are invited to take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Zambezi River that lead right up to the beckoning 'Smoke that Thunders'. It is this locality which makes this resort a destination of choice for all travellers seeking to experience one of Africa's true wonders. Visit The Falls, FREE of charge, as often as you wish, from either the Royal Livingstone Hotel or the Zambezi Sun . On the Zimbabwean side, you'll have to book transport as well as pay US $20 per person for every visit to The Falls.
The Zambian side of the Victoria Falls provides an entirely different experience to its better-known Zimbabwean counterpart. The views are more spectacular and you can get right up to the falling water by walking down a steep track to the base of The Falls and follow spindly walkways perched over the abyss. If the water is low and the wind favourable, you'll be treated to a magnificent view of the Falls Bridge. This country is as yet untouched by commercialism and offers some of the best game and bird-watching experiences in Africa.
