The Sun City Casino, situated in the Sun City Hotel, is open 365 days of the year. The tables open for play at 13h00 (midweek) and 11h00 (weekends) until close in the early hours of the following morning. The dress code in the casino is smart-casual.
You may try your luck at, American Roulette, Blackjack, Stud Poker and Punto Banco. The concepts behind these games are very simple and once grasped open up new dimensions of excitement and entertainment.
For the first time visitor the casino floor can look quite bewildering, the continuous hustle and bustle of players making their bets. The shouts of joy and disbelief when the roulette ball lands on the winning number. The steady swish of the blackjack cards coming out of the shoe and the general vibe of excitement and anticipation, presents a vista of organised chaos. But you can't help thinking:

Sun City School of Gaming
The Sun City School of Gaming is pleased to be able to offer free lessons in the skills and etiquette of all our Casino Table Games. Lessons must be booked a minimum of 48 hours in advance through the Casino MVG desk. Groups over 10 people are by special arrangement with the Casino Management and must be booked one week in advance.
There are special 'Casino Fun Evening' packages available for conference groups, which may be booked through the conference organiser and take place Monday to Thursday by prior arrangement.
Here are a few tips to help you find your feet and make some sense of what is going on around you
The first step is to join Sun International's prestigious "Most Valued Guest" gaming program. You can do this by asking any of our guest relations staff for an application for an M.V.G. card. Once the relevant details have been provided you will be issued with your very own, personalised membership card to the Sun International gaming fraternity. Please present this card to the croupier whenever you sit down at one of the gaming tables. Your play will be monitored and once it reaches a certain criteria may entitle you to, complimentary drinks, meals and generous discounts on accommodation.
Now that you know the games and are a member of the Most Valued Guest program you are ready to do battle at the gaming tables.

American Roulette
Single zero wheels.
0-36 numbers.
Limits range from R5 minimum tables on the main floor, up to R500 maximum in the Salon Prive.
Blackjack
Five decks, cards are dealt from a shuffle machine.
Double down on any total except Blackjack.
Split any pair as often as required. Split aces, get one card only, can split again if dealt another ace.
Surrender available after first two cards drawn, but not against an ace.
The dealer's card is dealt face up - No Hole card.
Table limits range from R50 minimum on the main floor up to R5, 000 maximum.
In the Salon Prive - Maximum is per player per box. All seven boxes may be played.
Three Players per box allowed.
Insurance offered when the dealer has an ace showing and is paid at 2 to 1.
All doubles and splits lose against dealer Blackjack.
Any card or cards drawn in error will not be burnt but will be offered to the next player in turn, if not taken the card or cards will be drawn to the dealers hand.
Progressive bet on Blackjack - Diamond Rush
The Diamond Rush Progressive Jackpot Blackjack tables allows players to make an extra bet that their hand will contain a 7. The first card must be a 7 and from then on the following payout table applies:
1 x 7 = R15
2 x 7 = R105
3 x 7 = R505
3 x 7 of the same colour = Five Thousand Rand
3 x 7 of the same suite = Fifty Thousand Rand
3 x 7 of Diamonds = The Progressive Jackpot - which starts at Fifty Thousand Rand and progresses upwards with every bet placed.
Punto Banco (Baccarat)
Eight decks of cards are used.
Shoe advances anti clockwise around the table with the players drawing the cards.
Tax on bank bet 5%.
Minimum R100 maximum R10, 000.
Any cards drawn in error will be used in the next coup, they will not be burnt.
Midi-Punto Banco
Five decks of cards are used
Cards are dealt by the dealer

Stud Poker
Caribbean style stud poker.
Dealer must have Ace/King or higher to play otherwise dealer folds and all antes' paid even money.

Four of a kind 25:1.
Full House 9:1.
Flush 6:1.
Straight 4:1.
Three of a kind 3:1.

Let it Ride Poker
In Let it Ride Poker players have the opportunity to reduce their bets depending on the value of their hand
Dealer must have Ace/King or higher to play otherwise dealer folds and all antes' paid even money.
Minimum, 3 x R25 bets, 2 of which can be taken off depending on the value of the cards dealt.
Maximum R250
Royal Flush pays 250:1.
Straight Flush 50:1.
Four of a kind 25:1.
Full House 12:1.
